The Trollsylvania Web Site
During a recent visit to a neighbouring country the King, Thorgrim III, was surprised to find himself spending money. This was something he rarely did at home, and, on giving it due consideration, he eventually realised that it was in some strange way a consequence of being a "tourist".
Tourists are a rarity here in Trollsylvania. So the King has instructed the Foreign Office to organises a web site to encourage tourists to visit our country (along with all their valuable money of course).
Unfortunately, the Foreign Office has proved impossible to locate. Indeed, no one remembers having seen it for some considerable time and no one, it seems, knows where it's offices are supposed to be.
For the past few centuries the Foreign Office has be charged with the task of securing the borders and keeping foreigners out of the country. It has to be admitted that for an organisation that can not be found it has done a very good job.
In the absence of the Foreign Office, a committee of representatives from the relevant departments was convened. After several days of heated argument it was left to the junior members of each to come up with the goods. The departmental heads issued a statement, proclaiming that they had every confidence in the juniors to fulfil the task, (what ever it might be), and bring things successfully to a positive outcome. After which they promptly left for their holiday retreats.
So the Web Committee was formed. It now meets on Wednesday afternoons (at "MacStroon's - well worth a visit - Tartan Tea Room") to discuss the web site. Unfortunately we don't get as much done as we would wish, as Lord Darkenfell always seems to find something or other for us to do. Indeed, we are beginning to suspect that he may not be totally committed to the idea of a web site at all.
