Through the dark nights of winter trolls spend much of their time making small and intricate toys. Then in the very midst of winter they leave warm caves behind and set out in the snow. Travelling down into the valleys, they visit every home placing a small gift on each door step. When the children open their doors in the morning their faces light up with pleasure at the sight of troll toys.

The trolls, however, are long gone. They are in their beds sleeping happily after a special seasonal breakfast.
